Alex Patient is a Senior Coach at Encompass Equality. With over 20 years as a middle and senior manager, Alex counts himself as a business practitioner. He has specialised in working with analytical teams, particularly introverts, seeking to release their potential. He understands what it means to reach burn out, to face demanding or aggressive stakeholders, to tackle work / life balance (he has two young daughters), make difficult choices, and the importance of prioritising wellbeing as a leader. Having coached within major organisations, he has supplemented his practical experience with technical coaching skills with the ICF-accredited Coactive Training Institute.

He is also passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion, and led D&I initiatives for his division and others at Natwest. He changed recruitment patterns to improve BAME representation and gender balance, trained staff on being active bystanders and speaking up, as well as promoting anti-racism activities. This speaks to his values of integrity, fairness, and courage - emboldened by the need to create a better world for his daughters.
